2022 Honda Civic Si for Sale in West Warwick, RI
Changes for 2022
The revamped ’22 Civic Si shows off some changes in its body contours, translating to not just a more modern appearance but increased aerodynamics as well. It also brings sharper handling, thanks to a stiffer suspension and retuned steering, and its updated turbocharged engine. And, for the first time ever, the Civic Si boasts a rev-matching manual transmission (as found in the Civic Type R), with shorter throws from gear to gear to enhance driver enjoyment.
Technically, Honda makes the ’22 Civic Si in two trim levels – the base Si and the Si HPT, but the only difference is the tires (HPT stands for high-performance tires). The sole powertrain is a 200 hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual transmission, which has a rev-matching feature that can be turned off. The model gets a front-wheel drivetrain with a limited-slip differential for optimal traction. Through its official fuel economy estimates, the EPA has found that the Civic Si gets 27 miles per gallon around town and 37 in highway driving.
Since this is essentially just a one-trim lineup (aside from the choice of all-season or summer performance tires), the 2022 Civic Si comes with a lot of nice features. Some highlights are a moonroof, auto on/off LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors, and automatic climate control. It’s also equipped with Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, which will lock and unlock the doors without use of the key fob. In addition to its sport-tuned chassis and aluminum stick shift with a leather-wrapped knob, it gets sport pedals, a 7-inch driver information display, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
As noted, the infotainment system now has a customizable 9-inch diagonal touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a Bose audio system with 12 speakers. It’s also equipped with Bluetooth (for phone use and audio streaming), SMS text messaging, and SiriusXM satellite radio. There are two USB ports and a 12V power outlet, plus access to HondaLink remote services, which enables certain vehicle functions to be controlled by your smartphone.
Advanced Safety Technology
The Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist features is standard issue on the Civic Si. It furnishes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning, along with two new features: traffic sign recognition and a driver attention monitor. Also included are automatic high beams, a blind-spot collision warning system with a rear cross-traffic monitor, and a rear seat reminder.
