Trims and Powertrain

Five trim levels make up the 2024 Odyssey lineup: EX, EX-L, Sport, Touring, and Elite. The powertrain is the same throughout: a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and electronic gear selector. This powertrain generates 280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque, and has a maximum towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds – all while achieving an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city/28 mpg highway. Although the Odyssey may not have an all-wheel drive option, every trim has intelligent traction management with a snow mode setting.

Standard Features

The EX acts as the foundation of the ‘24 Odyssey lineup with remote start, programmable remote entry, LED lighting (auto on-off headlights/daytime running lights/fog lights), taillights with LED light-bar accents, power sliding doors, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, rear privacy glass, a roofline spoiler with an integrated brake light, Smart Entry With Walk Away Auto Lock, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The cabin is well-appointed with tri-zone automatic climate control, heated power-adjustable front seats, rear-seat heat ducts, integrated second-row sunshades, 12-volt power outlets (front and cargo area), beverage holders throughout all three rows, and various storage opportunities such as front-row seatback pockets, a lockable glove compartment, front and cargo area bag hooks, and a rear storage well.

The EX-L trades a cloth interior for leather in the first and second rows, and gains the following features: a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power moonroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, memory settings for the driver’s seat, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, seatback pockets in the second row, two second-row USB ports, 12-volt power outlets in the third row, and a power tailgate with programmable height. It also gets an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, a wireless system that allows you to control house features such as the garage door, an electronic gate, lighting, appliances, and your home security system. The Sport changes up both the interior and exterior appearance with 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, body-colored side sills and door handles, gloss-black side mirrors, black leather seating with red contrast stitching, black upper trim, black floor mats, and red ambient cabin lighting that carries into the instrument panel.

The Touring adds the aforementioned CabinWatch Rear Seat Monitor, which provides a live video feed of the second and third rows on the Odyssey’s touchscreen, and the CabinTalk In-Car PA System, which allows the front seat passengers to easily communicate with the second and third rows using a hands-free microphone. Also added at this level are Wi-Fi hotspot capability, integrated sunshades in the third row, and an advanced rear entertainment system (with a 10.2-inch high-resolution screen, a Blu-Ray player, built-in streaming apps, and wireless headphones). In the Elite, CabinTalk gains the capability to communicate with passengers through both the speakers and headphones. This loaded trim also gets heated and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, and blue ambient cabin lighting (including the instrument panel), and the power tailgate upgrades to hands-free access.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Equipment

The Honda Sensing suite of active-safety technologies adds an extra measure of driver confidence. Up front, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, and collision mitigation braking help you look out for potential obstacles, while the blind spot information system with cross traffic monitor helps you see what may not be visible to your left and right, and lane keeping assist and lane departure warning help keep the minivan centered. Also standard are adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, road departure mitigation, a driver attention monitor, traffic sign recognition, and rear seat reminder (to ensure that small children and pets never get left behind). The Touring and Elite gain parking sensors (front/rear) to assist with tucking in to tight spaces.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The entire ‘24 Odyssey lineup comes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system loaded with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and audio streaming, SMS text message messaging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and HD Radio. Also standard is CabinControl, an app that allows occupants to remotely adjust the climate controls, entertainment features, and stereo settings from their compatible smartphone. Navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an HDMI interface are added at the Touring level. While most trims get a seven-speaker sound system, the Elite upgrades its audio situation with a 550-watt premium audio unit that has 11 speakers and a subwoofer.
