Trims and Powertrain

For 2025, CR-V have their choice of three trim levels: LX, EX, and EX-L. Their powertrain is made up of a 1.5-liter turbocharged 190-hp 4-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission. Great fuel economy is a significant reason for this model’s ongoing popularity.  The front-wheel drive version returns an EPA-estimated 28 mpg around town and 34 mpg on the highway, while the AWD CR-V will achieve 26 city/31 highway. Its performance is nicely influenced by standard systems such as hill start assist, hill descent control, and a 3-mode drive selector with settings for Normal, Snow, and ECON.

Standard Features

The LX has remote entry, fabric upholstery, LED exterior lighting (automatic headlights/daytime running lights/taillights), a heated windshield-wiper zone, power side mirrors, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster screen, center console ambient lighting, rear-seat heat ducts, a USB audio/smartphone interface, 17-inch wheels, LED cargo area lights, cargo area tie-down anchors, and two 12-volt power outlets (front console/cargo area). The EX adds remote start with climate control, heated front seats, a power moonroof, dual-zone climate control, a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, three USB charging ports (one in the front console and two in the second row), a power tailgate with programmable height, heated power side mirrors, and Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto-Lock. The well-appointed EX-L shows off leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, wireless phone charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, memory settings for the driver, and a four-way power adjustable passenger’s seat.

Advanced Safety Tech

The standard Honda Sensing technology bundle adds a degree of driver confidence and overall safety to the CR-V. All trims have forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic jam assist, driver attention monitor, and traffic sign recognition. Automatic high-beams and a rear-seat reminder are included as well. A blind spot information system and cross traffic monitor are added at the EX level; the EX-L also gets parking sensors (front and rear) and low-speed braking control.

Infotainment and Connectivity

LX occupants get a 7-inch touchscreen to manage their multimedia and smartphone connectivity, along with a 160-watt audio system with four speakers. Every trim has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SMS text messaging, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and streaming audio, a radio data system, and HondaLink access. The two higher trims have their sound system upgraded: the EX receives 240-watt audio system with six speakers while the EX-L moves up to a 320-watt system with eight speakers. The EX-L’s goes to a 9-inch touchscreen system with a volume knob, smart shortcuts, and customizable feature settings; it also adds wireless smartphone integration, HD Radio, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
