Trims and Powertrain

The 2026 CR-V comes to you in three trim packages: LX, EX, and EX-L. The powertrain unites a turbo-charged 190-horsepower inline 4-cylinder engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The CR-V’s standard front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) returns 28 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, according to the EPA’s official fuel economy estimations, while the available Real-Time all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) with Honda’s Intelligent Control System is rated at 27 city/31 highway mpg. All trims come with a drive selector offering Normal, Econ, and Snow modes and can tow up to 1,500 pounds with the proper equipment.

Standard Features

The LX has cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, automatic climate control with rear ducts, a 7-inch TFT gauge display, remote entry, push-button ignition, wireless smartphone charging, two front-mounted USB ports, an active shutter grille, a hood damper, an auto up/down driver’s-side window, a one-push capless fuel door, a rear-seat center armrest, a driver’s-side garment hook, cargo area tie-down anchors, LED cargo and map lights, one-touch turn signals, rear privacy glass, and 17-inch steel wheels with covers. The exterior lighting is all LED, including the headlights (auto-on/off), integrated turn indicators on the power exterior mirrors, taillights, and daytime running lights.

The EX gets a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a one-touch power/tilt moonroof, power heated side mirrors with integrated LED turn signal indicators, a power liftgate with programmable height, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, four USB ports (two front, two rear), ambient LED lighting, auto up/down front windows, illuminated vanity mirrors, 18-inch silver-painted alloy wheels.

As the top trim, the EX-L gets the most amenities. That list includes a leather interior, a driver’s seat with memory, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped shift knob, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and one-touch automatic-up/down front and rear windows.

Driver Aids and Safety

The LX gets the base version of the Honda Sensing driver-assist suite, which is well stocked with collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, and a driver attention monitor. The EX adds a blind spot information system with cross-traffic monitoring, while the EX-L alone receives front and rear parking sensors. Automatic high beams, vehicle stability assist with brake traction control, an acoustic vehicle alerting system, and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines are also standard on all trims. Low-speed braking control is exclusive to the EX-L.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The CR-V’s infotainment system is accessed through its now-standard enhanced 9-inch touchscreen; wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now standard too, as well is Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls and audio streaming. The LX has a 160-watt  sound system with four speakers, while the EX goes to a 240-watt unit with six speakers. The EX-L gets the most booming sound array: a 320-watt setup with eight speakers. Every 2026 CR-V comes with access to the HondaLink Basic package through the HondaLink app, which enables drivers to view vehicle guides, request 24-hour roadside assistance, schedule service appointments, and receive recall notifications.
