2021 Honda Pilot for Sale in West Warwick, RI

Overview
The Honda Pilot is made for those who want a spacious and well-built vehicle with plenty of options for convenience and comfort. One thing that keeps it popular year after year is its wide array of trims, meaning that it can be purchased fully loaded or basic, or at any of several levels in between. It seats seven or eight while also carrying a lot of stuff in the cargo area or on its rooftop. The 2021 model year brings with it a new nine-speed automatic transmission, standard dual-zone automatic climate control for all trims, and a debuting Special Edition model, which slots right into the middle of the Pilot’s seven-trim range.

Powertrain and Trim Levels
As mentioned, there are seven trim levels for the ’21 Pilot: the LX, EX, EX-L, Special Edition, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. Most are set up with a middle-row bench seat to accommodate a total of eight passengers, but second-row captain’s chairs are available on the Touring and standard on the Elite and Black Edition and will drop the occupant capacity to a still-generous seven. The powertrain is made up of a 3.5-liter V6 (280 hp and 262 lb.-ft. of torque) and the aforementioned nine-speed automatic transmission. The default drivetrain is front-wheel, but all-wheel drive is optional on all trims, save for the Elite and Black Edition, which get standard AWD.
Comfort and Convenience
The LX is a decently equipped base model, getting dual-zone automatic climate control, as mentioned, plus push-button ignition, remote entry, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, and a 60/40 split flat-folding third-row bench seat for versatility in carrying oversized items. The EX upgrades to tri-zone automatic climate control and adds heated side mirrors with integrated turn-signal indicators, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, LED fog lights, a conversation mirror, one-touch folding second-row seats, heated front seats, and a power driver’s seat. The EX-L gets memory functions for the side mirrors and driver’s seat and increases the luxury factor with a power tailgate, a moonroof, a HomeLink remote system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, leather seating, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
What makes the newest trim, the Special Edition, earn its name is its desirable features: a hands-free tailgate, black-painted 20-inch wheels, roof rails, and a wireless device charger. The Touring ramps things up with automatic parking sensors, LED headlights, blue ambient interior lighting, heated second-row outboard seats, and available perforated second-row captain’s chairs. Second-row captain’s chairs come standard on the Elite, as do rain-sensing windshield wipers, power-folding (and auto-dimming) exterior mirrors, a panoramic roof, a heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated first-row seats. The Black Edition gets all of the luxuries along with trim-specific black accents on the outside and red ambient lighting on the inside.
Safety and Technology
Honda Sensing, the automaker’s grouping of state-of-the-art active safety technologies, is included on all trims, providing collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. The Special Edition adds a blind-spot information system with rear cross-traffic monitor, and all models get automatic high beams and a backup camera with guidelines (upgraded to dynamic guidelines on all but the base model).
The base infotainment in the LX is stocked with a 5-inch-diagonal touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming, and an audio system with seven speakers; a USB port is located in the front console. The EX and EX-L get upgraded to an 8-inch touchscreen while adding both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a HondaLink system, SMS text message functionality, and satellite and high-definition radio. The Touring and remaining trims load up with navigation, voice recognition functions, the Cabin Talk PA system, a ten-speaker audio system with multiple zones, HondaLink services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
