2025 Honda Prologue Hero

The Honda Prologue continues to break new ground in the EV segment as more buyers discover its value and capability. In 2024, the Prologue helped propel Honda to an EV sales record, topping a number of more established players. This midsized all-electric crossover’s winning formula of efficiency and cutting-edge technology moves into 2025 with improvements to its performance and range, ensuring that it remains competitive in a rapidly moving segment.

Aesthetically, the Prologue displays an undeniably modern design with an aggressive stance. Its five-seat cabin is spacious and inviting, punctuated by tech-forward instrumentation and a user-friendly infotainment system that doesn’t overwhelm or distract.

Trims and Powertrains

The Honda Prologue’s three trims are called EX, Touring, and Elite. They all have an 85-kWh battery pack, but Honda has improved the electric motors for 2025. The front-wheel-drive EX and Touring now have a more powerful front-mounted electric motor that makes 220 horsepower, which is an increase of 8 horsepower over the debut model. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain is standard on the Elite and optional on the lower trims; it generates a combined 300 horsepower, up from 288 hp on the 2024 version.

These powertrain enhancements improve the Prologue’s performance and increase range. The EPA-estimated range for the front-wheel-drive (FWD) Prologue has risen to 308 miles, a notable improvement from the previous model’s 296 miles. Similarly, the all-wheel-drive (AWD) Prologue now boasts an estimated range of 294 miles, up from 281 miles in 2024 (or 283 miles for the AWD-only Elite).

The Prologue can accumulate 62 to 65 miles of range for every ten minutes of Level 3/DC fast charging, which translates to replenishing the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes. The towing capacity tops out at 1,500 pounds. The cargo area measures 25.2 cubic feet, which reaches up to 57.7 cubic feet if the second-row seatback is folded down.

Standard Features

The entry-level EX serves up a dose of luxury with heated front seats, a ten-way power driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated side mirrors, wireless device charging, rain-sensing windshield wipers, key fob-activated remote start, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlamps. It also has fabric upholstery, rear privacy glass, push-button start, a regenerative braking control paddle, four USB ports (two per row), and 19-inch wheels.

Those who choose the Touring will get a panoramic moonroof, leather upholstery, a driver’s memory system, a hands-free power tailgate, a six-way power front passenger seat, LED fog lights, roof rails, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. At the top of the range, the Elite upgrades the luxury credentials with heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a heated windshield-wiper zone, power-folding and auto-dimming side mirrors, a key card for keyless vehicle access, additional cabin illumination, self-sealing tires, and a 110-volt outlet in the rear console.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

All 2025 Honda Prologue trims come standard with the Honda Sensing suite of sophisticated driver-assist tech. This comprehensive package includes forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, reverse automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition (requires data package), and rear parking assist. The Touring and Elite add front parking sensors; the Elite also gets a surround-view monitor and rear pedestrian alert. Every Prologue is set up with airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, and a rearview monitor.

Multimedia and Connectivity

The 2025 Honda Prologue’s infotainment system is centered around an 11.3-inch touchscreen display. This user-friendly interface is powered by Google built-in, delivering access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and other popular apps. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and access to HondaLink connected services are also standard. While the EX is given a six-speaker audio system, the Touring and Elite upgrade to a premium Bose setup with 12 speakers.
