Passport

2026 Honda Passport Hero

The three main points of the Passport’s 2026 redesign are increased performance, updated styling, and additional technology. This midsized crossover is now technically in its fourth generation, with the first two generations spanning from 1994 to 2002, when the Passport was the mechanical sibling to the body-on-frame Isuzu Rodeo. The smooth-riding unibody Passport as we now recognize it came to be in 2019, when the nameplate was reborn as a two-row, adventure-focused alternative to the Pilot.

The 2026 Passport’s updated design is a testament to its adventuresome spirit. It’s built on Honda’s durable light-truck platform, but its toughness isn’t just about what you see on the outside. Honda has also supplemented the original snow, sand, and mud traction control options with normal, economy, sport, tow, and trail modes, while giving higher trims all-terrain tires and an off-road suspension. Redesigned taillights and a sporty roof spoiler add to its dynamic appearance, and an ingenious and practical “backpack” design allows owners to lean skis, fishing rods, and other outdoor gear against the vehicle without risk of damage.

Built around a “Born Wild” concept that blends form with function, this latest Passport is one of Honda’s most capable vehicles yet. It’s wider and has higher ground clearance and significantly higher approach angles with aggressively flared fenders and off-road tires. Honda has also added the TrailSport Elite trim as well as the widest range of factory accessories to date, including a full-sized spare tire, a front scuff plate, steel rock sliders, and a roof platform.
