Trims and Powertrain

The 2026 Passport has seven trim levels: RTL, RTL Towing, RTL Blackout, TrailSport, TrailSport Blackout, TrailSport Elite, and TrailSport Elite Blackout (the EX-L and Black Edition have been dropped). All of them have the aforementioned 3.5-liter V6 (output: 285 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque) paired with an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Honda’s second-generation Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4) all-wheel-drive system is standard, supplying exceptional traction and stability through rear-axle torque vectoring. Thanks to a drive-mode selector with settings for Normal, Econ, Sport, Snow, Tow, Trail, and Sand Drive modes, the Passport is ready for any weather. All trims have a 5,000 lb. towing capacity and are equipped with trailer stability assist, which helps reduce vehicle movement during towing.

Standard Features by Trim Level

The base RTL has heated front seats, upholstery in a blend of leather and cloth, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a four-way power passenger seat, wireless device charging, remote engine start, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock (front doors and tailgate), a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a power liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate and humidity control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED auto-on/off headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, heated side mirrors, a 60/40 split second-row bench seat, black roof rails, a USB-C 3.0A data port (front), a USB-C charging port (front), two USB-C charging ports (rear), two 12-volt power outlets (front and cargo), ambient LED lighting, an active shutter grille, 18-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels, and an acoustic windshield. The RTL Towing adds a Class III trailer hitch with harness and hitch panel; the RTL Blackout is given unique black styling, including black 18-inch alloy wheels, badging, and lug nuts.

The TrailSport is ready to leave the pavement thanks to an off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, an underbody skid plate, LED fog lights, LED daytime running lights, high-visibility recovery hooks, a panoramic sunroof, a rear camera washer, rugged leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with orange stitching and accents, a heated windshield, heated windshield wipers, gloss-black power-folding side mirrors with turn indicators, ambient LED lighting (amber), all-season floor mats, two 115-volt power outlets (rear and cargo), and 18-inch matte-gray alloy wheels. The TrailSport Blackout adds trim-specific black accents.

The TrailSport Elite expands the features list with heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, perforated leather upholstery with contrast stitching and black piping, a heated steering wheel, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock for all doors, a power liftgate with hands-free access and walk-away close, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, auto-dimming side mirrors, acoustic front side glass, puddle lights, integrated rear door sunshades, and 18-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels with a machined finish. The TrailSport Elite Blackout adds trim-specific black accents.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Safety has always been a priority for this automaker, and the 2026 Passport is no different. All 2026 Passports come standard with the Honda Sensing suite, which consists of collision mitigation braking with advanced pedestrian detection, road departure mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane assist, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, a blind spot information system with lane change assist, a cross-traffic monitor, low-speed braking control, a driver attention monitor, automatic high beams, and parking sensors (four front and four rear). Also standard are vehicle stability assist with traction control, hill start assist, descent control, trailer stability assist, rollover mitigation, brake assist, and rear seat reminder. Passive safety is equally robust, with eight standard airbags, including Honda’s award-winning front passenger airbag. Exclusive to the TrailSport Elite and TrailSport Elite Blackout is the comprehensive TrailWatch system, which uses four exterior cameras to provide a 360-degree view that drivers will find helpful during off-road maneuvering.

Infotainment and Connectivity

All trims have a Google built-in 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Amazon Alexa, wireless connectivity through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, navigation via Google Maps, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and HondaLink. The RTL, RTL Towing, RTL Blackout, TrailSport, and TrailSport Blackout feature a 9-speaker system (including a subwoofer) with speed-sensitive volume compensation, which is upgraded to a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system in the TrailSport Elite and TrailSport Elite Blackout.
