It’s mid-cycle refresh time for the HR-V, and Honda has given it a few updates for model year 2026 that focus on technology and styling. The changes center on infotainment improvements, with all trims now equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Wireless device charging is now across the lineup as well.
Honda’s subcompact crossover also shows off some exterior styling changes, with new wheel designs for all three trims. At the pinnacle of the lineup, the EX-L gets enhanced interior lighting. Honda's Service Pass continues to provide complimentary standard scheduled maintenance for the first year or 12,000 miles.

HR-V shoppers have three trims to consider: the LX, Sport, and EX-L. All of them have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 158 horsepower and pairs with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is an option. HR-Vs with FWD are EPA-rated to return 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, while AWD changes the estimated fuel economy to 25 mpg around town and 30 mpg on the open road. The HR-V has 24.4 cubic feet of dedicated cargo space behind the back row, which can be increased to 55.1 cubic feet with the rear seatbacks folded down.
Standard Equipment
The LX has remote keyless entry, single-zone automatic climate control, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, fabric upholstery, push-button ignition, power side-view mirrors, and rear privacy glass. Honda also gives this base trim a 7-inch driver information display, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, sound-reducing windshield glass, a sliding armrest and storage compartment, rear-seat heat ducts, three USB ports, a wireless device charger, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The mid-grade Sport earns its name with distinctive exterior accents, a trim-specific grille, and 18-inch gloss-black alloy wheels. It also gets these upgrades: heated front seats, proximity keyless entry, power heated side-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and illuminated vanity mirrors. The top-of-the-line EX-L boasts a power moonroof, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

This safety tech suite consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, a rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on the Sport and EX-L, while the EX-L also gets front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control (automatic braking during low-speed maneuvers). Every trim gets an airbag system, stability control, traction control, hill descent control, hill start assist, and a multi-angle rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.
Infotainment and Connectivity
All HR-V trims are now equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
