Since the Honda CR-V made its North American debut in 1997, it has helped define the ever-popular compact SUV segment by combining a versatile, spacious design with a smooth, car-like drive. Three decades later, the always strong-selling Comfortable Runabout Vehicle still provides the practicality and comfort that have made it a mainstay for six generations. For 2027 it gains two 12-volt power outlets — one in the front console and one in the cargo area. Honda packs the CR-V with standard features, as even the base LX gets wireless smartphone charging and a 9-inch multimedia touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The roomy interior seats five comfortably and offers 39.3 cubic feet of storage, increasing to 76.5 cubic feet with the rear seats stowed. Available all-wheel drive also raises the ground clearance to 8.2 inches, up from 7.8 inches on the front-wheel drive version, adding capability for more adventurous drivers.
