Trims and Powertrains

Honda ships out the Ridgeline in four trims: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition. All have a 3.5-liter V6 engine pumping out 280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is supplied to all wheels with a nine-speed automatic transmission and is customizable with various drive modes, including Normal, Sand, Mud, and Snow. The maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds, while the payload capacity reaches as high as 1,583 pounds (for the Sport trim).
The EPA has officially estimated that the Ridgeline achieves 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. These ratings apply to all trims except for the TrailSport, which achieves just one mpg less in highway driving.

Standard Features

The Sport gets a good array of standard features for a base trim: wireless device charging, tri-zone automatic climate control, cloth seats, a 7-inch instrument cluster, two USB ports, front and rear 12-volt power outlets, a 60/40 split lift-up rear seat with storage, LED headlights and fog lights, a dual-action tailgate, an in-bed trunk, truck bed lights, a dual-chrome exhaust finisher, an integrated Class III trailer hitch with a 7-pin connector, and 18-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels. The RTL adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and position memory, a 4-way power-adjustable passenger seat, a one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink remote system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated side mirrors, a power-sliding rear window, and 18-inch Pewter Gray machine finished alloy wheels.

The TrailSport looks to the trails with its off-road-tuned suspension and extra-durable synthetic leather upholstery with Trail Orange stitched accents. But it’s about comfort and convenience as well, with a heated steering wheel, first-row illuminated beverage holders, all-season floor mats featuring the TrailSport logo, Trail Orange ambient LED cabin lighting, power-folding side mirrors, and trim-specific 18-inch Pewter Gray alloy wheels. The Black Edition gets ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, two USB ports in the rear console, red ambient LED interior lighting, LED truck bed lights, a 150-watt/400-watt bed power outlet, and 18-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels. All four trims are eligible for the Function Package, which contains a truck-bed cargo net, utility hooks, all-season floor mats, door-sill protection film, and a hard cargo area cover (Function+). The available Utility Package will add crossbars, roof rails, and running boards (Utility+).

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Every 2024 Ridgeline has the advanced Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist technologies installed. This safety-enhancing suite contains forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot warning, automatic high-beam headlights, rear cross-traffic alert, and a multi-angle rearview camera. The TrailSport and Black Edition also get front and rear parking sensors.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The standard infotainment system in the Ridgeline has a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 215-watt sound system with seven speakers and a subwoofer. SiriusXM satellite radio is added at the RTL level; the TrailSport and Black Edition also get a navigation system. Only the Black Edition receives HD Radio and upgrades to an 8-speaker premium 540-watt sound system.
